National Fallen Officers Foundation

On Thursday, August 16 at our weekly meeting, we were able to hear from Alan Knight, director of the National Fallen Officers Foundation. The National Fallen Officers Foundation exists to support the families of law enforcement officers

who have died in the line of duty. The organization holds sponsored events to honor the fallen officers and help their families financially.

Upcoming events include a 5K run and a golf marathon. For more information, visit the

United Way Day of Caring is coming up on Thursday, September 6. We will be part of a group of more than 700 volunteers who will be doing service throughout Utah County. We will meet at the southwest entrance of BYU’s LaVell Edwards Stadium for breakfast. After breakfast, we will travel to our service project site. This year we will be helping at the house of a widow in Springville doing things like sanding, painting and landscaping.

We will not be holding our regular Thursday meeting that day. For more information or to RSVP to attend, contact Katie Hoshino at khoshino@unitedwayuc.org
